Dear Philanthropists,
PANKAJ CHARITY FOUNDATION is an NGO with the mission''economic&social justice to all''.
The founder of the NGO is an educationist who has had teaching and administrative experience in India&foreign countries.

On travelling the length&breadth of India,Mr Anil Kumar[the chairman] has seen,felt&empathized with the socially&economically non-affluent!!The above empathy has led to the creation of PANKAJ CHARITY FOUNDATION TRUST.

The NGO's long term activities include plans for schools,health care centres,human rights cells,rehabilitation centres[for the victims of substance abuse&HIV]

The current activities include distribution of rice/grocery to the poor.Besides,distribution of note books/text books to students is also on the agenda.Financial assistance to economically back ward students is being contemplated as well.

The NGO has tax exemption certificate for local funds[incoming]For foreign funds the NGO can obtain FCRA[FOREIGN CURRENCY REGULATION CERTIFICATE]provided the foreign donor expresses his willingness to donate ,in writing.

Our website is under construction.This blog will provide some information on our NGO until the website becomes live!

At the moment,the NGO faces the biggest predicament;shortage of funds/resources.We have been receiving a substantial number of requests for assistance in terms of money/clothing/shelter & the likes.

We've written to a good number of philanthropists for help.To be brutally honest,no help has forth come as yet!Incidentally,we have committed to provided clothing/shelter to the people of AP/karnataka devastated by the recent floods.

In spite of our limitations in terms of funds and resouces,we have put our foot down & honoured our commitments.Under no circumstances,shall we ever renege on our commitments!!

I would once again like to reiterate my appeal to all the philanthropists;help us accomplish our mission!Every penny offered shall go a long way in changing lives.

CHARITY EVENT /PHOTOS

It gives us an immense sense of satisfaction to have distributed rice/grocery to the poor people in &around Vellore.It's equally gratifying to have distributed note books to the students belonging to the "ECONOMICALLY NONAFFLUENT"segment of the society.
We've received 183 applications from students for grant of financial assistance so as to pursue their education.Most of the applicants are in their college&are on the verge of dropping their studies for want of money.

It's at this juncture that I would like to make an appeal to all philanthropists to support our cause&help change the lives of the needy.

OUR NEXT WELFARE SCHEME

Our next welfare programme will be on the 5th of Dec'09.Rice/grocery/clothing will be given to the people in and outside Vellore.

Note books will also be given to students.From the applications for economic assistance for education,05 students will be selected&given Rs 25000 each so as to help them pursue their studies.

At this juncture,I must confess that we're facing economic/resource constraints.We simply wish we were able to consider all applications[requests]for financial assistance.

I would like to request all benevolent souls to support our cause morally,economically&logistically.I earnestly look forward to the magnanimous gesture of all philanthropists!!.

CHARITY ON06 NOV'09

On 06 Nov'09,our NGO distributed rice&grocery to the people in&around Vellore.Besides, note books were also distributed to the poor students.

The Chairman Mr.ANIL KUMAR&the TREASURER MRS.BINDUKALA distributed rice/grocery&books.Some beneficiaries received their benefits from Baby.Srilakshmi.On culmination of the event,the chairman declared that similar charity programmes/welfare schemes would be a regular feature[monthly]and he requested the beneficiaries to make formal request to the NGO in the event of immediate needs in respect of economic/educational/other assistance.

ALLEVIATION OF POVERTY IN INDIA

Dear philanthropists,
India is one of the largest democracies.She has made rapid strides since independence.But the biggest irony is that we are still one of the poorest countries in the world.Again there is a paradox. Our ''WEALTHY'' are listed in the top 10 wealthiest in the world!!
More than half of India's population cannot afford formal education/health care/shelter/food.The socially&economically non-affluent are a stark reality whose plight has continued to be the same since independence.Alleviation of poverty has been on the agenda of every Government since independence!!!Sadly in India,agendas easily win votes!!!The clamours made by politicians on "health care to all/free education to all" have all been the biggest of humbugs.
Under the above circumstances my NGO,Pankaj Charity Foundation Trust[Regd 1802/vellore/tamilnadu/India]becomes hugely relevant.Our mission is "SOCIAL&ECONOMIC JUSTICE TO ALL"We have plans of setting up Schools/health care centres/human rights cells/rehabilitation centres/orphanages&the likes.

All our welfare projects have remained in the egg due to lack of funds/resources!!
Fund-raising is easily conceived than done!At the moment[our immediate project]we are
desirous of helping the people of A.P/KARNATAKA[states in India]devastated by the recent floods.Needless to say that thousands have been rendered homeless!!!We would like to help
the victims build homes at the lowest possible cost.[Grant of financial aid to the victims is also on the agenda]
